Projects to be undertaken by the 12th Finance Commission

The 12th Finance Commission have recommended Rs.50.00 Crores in favour of Tourism and Culture Department for heritage conservation in the State during the period 2006-2007 to 2009-2010 with instruction to utilize Rs.12.50 Crores for the project work each year. Finance Department have allocation Rs.50.00 Crores for the following project work.

Out of the above amount of Rs.50.00 Crores, Rs.15.00 Crores has been earmarked for Tourism Department for execution of project work for; Infrastructure Development of Tourist facilities at important Tourist places in the State.

As per TFC guidelines 25% of the Budget provision of Rs. 50.00 Crores i.e Rs. 12.50 Crores will be spent each year. Accordingly for the year 2006-2007 Rs. 12.50 Crores has been sanctioned by the Finance Department, which has been decided to be utilized in the following manner:

Separate projects Cells have been constructed in concerned organization under Culture Department to implement the project works. The whole amount of Rs.12.50 Lakhs available in the current years budget has been allotted to the Director, Culture to place it with the implementing agencies following due financial proprieties.
